While cleaning and fixing storm damage. I came across one of the first Log Cabins quilts,I made.My sister Elly, and Marion , and I took a course at a state extention course. We used to have so much fun sewing together. It is always more fun getting together with friends, family, while sewnig and swapping old memories and stories. Unfortunately I lost my sister Marion, and her husband, a year and a half ago. We lost Elly the day before last Christmas. I miss them a lot. It is always hard to lose someone you love, but. at least I know they had a long and happy life. Well, I wahed it and stored it again. I have no idea where it is now. Someday, someone will come accross it again and pull it out. Hey, I am 81, I have a right to forget now and then.

Linus Quilts

Here are a couple of quilts I made a few months ago and forgot to add to my blog. Most are made from child like prints and adding borders etc.

Pin Wheel Quilt

I finally finished my Pin Wheel Quilt, with Flying Geese border. The Pin Wheel is fun to work on. I especially like the white on white for background. The quilt is about 79" by 89".
The problem with making this size, is finding a place big enough to assemble it. I finally went to my sisters senior residence. We put three tables together. Even hemming on the binding and tying it was awkward t

o work on. I think I will stick to twin size from now on.

Gramdma's Attic Quilt, & Pin Wheel Quilt

This is the first grandma's  Attic Quilt I have tried. It was very easy to put together. I wanted something  that would work for a man, who liked outdoor sports. It is roughly  60" by 48".  I call  it a nap size quilt/

Linus Quilts

I recently finished a few more quilts for Linus. I had hoped to finish them before Christmas time, but unfortunately, didn't make it .I usually make scrap quilts, or try and use any materials that are child oriented, and build around it using borders etc. I had been working on a large pinwheel quilt, but ran into trouble putting on a flying geese border . I decided to put it aside and  work on these, but still didn't finish the quilts in time to deliver them before Christmas. Just too many things going on. The second picture is the back of the bunny rabbit.
