Linus quilts
I finally finished a few small quilt tops that have been waiting to be put together. It helps me use up all the odds and ends of small pieces of material left over from other quilts.

Spromgtime Mosaic Pinwheel
I saw this pattern on About.com and decided to try it. The pattern plainly gave directions for an 8 inch block, and a 24 inch block, but for some reason, in my mind I thought , I was cutting out a 12 inch block. I was going to use 12, 12 inch blocks, so I thought. Imagine my surprise when I started putting it together. A 24 inch block is a bigggg block. I ended up making two twin size quilts of six blocks each, plus layers between blocks and a couple of borders. The quilts really worked up quickly.
Ships at Sea
I have made the Ships at Sea before, but, recently two nieces , each had a boy, and a cousin of mine, had a grandson. Most boys probably like boats. I figured this would be the quickest. Each quilt is just a little different, by different color of boat, borders, and backing. I delivered one to my cousin today, and will mail another soon. The third one, I am waiting for a new address. Her husband is returning from Afghanastan, and is moving to where he will be stationed
