Charity Quilts

I made up a few crazy quilts, using up a lot of scraps. I found some leftover pieces from one of the first quilts, I made. I put them together to make the middle of a small quilt. Some of the Crazy Quilts are quite bright and crazy mixed up colors. I hope children like them.
The next two quilts, I used leftover 2 -1/2" squares  from my Cathedral Window Quilts. One was done all by hand, including, the border,  but machine stitched the binding. I just thought I would try one, as it was something to do while watching TV, or take while traveling. I actually enjoyed it. It is a nap size quilt, and I am keeping it as it is the first one I tried.
Then with the rest of the squares, I put them together by machine. It makes a good baby size,or child's quilt. It will probably go to Linus Quilts

Crazy Quilts

Every once in a while, I decide to work on some crazy quilts, hoping to use up some of my scraps and leftovers. I decided to make a douple of fairly large  twin size quilts. I need them to cover an extra long twin size bed. I back these on a 13 inch square. I think it makes it stronger and a little warmer. The typical crazy quilt is about 100" x 51", and the other one is about 51 x 88.

Pin Wheel Quilts

I finally put together several tops I had finished. I guess I have to be in the right mood to layer them together.I finished two pin wheel quilts,  using different colors for each pin wheel. I really like the pin wheel pattern, especialy the one that  the pinwheels are standing free from the backing. I am keeping the first one for myself. It is about 70" x 52". The next one I am going to give to a friend. It is about  100" x 70".
